Updates II

So...I haven't written in a while but we have been crazy busy...we just got home from a wonderful (much needed) vacation to Gatlinburg. It was peaceful and wonderful and relaxing...it's not my favorite place in the world, but it's not far to drive, thus the perfect place for a getaway, since Giovanni and I have no patience when it comes to roadtrips. We stayed at the Park Vista...and we loved it. It was clean, (the most important part, considering my neat freak of a husband) we had a beautiful view from the balcony, and the staff were some of the nicest people I've ever met. We shopped and went to the park...the typical touristy things...and let's not forget Dixie Stampede...headquarters of all things redneck. To put it mildly, it's not our type of entertainment. There were a few moments when I wondered why, exactly, I had even shelled out $100 for tickets, but in the end, we had fun, laughed a lot, and ate (too much) really good food.

On the marriage side of life...things are wonderful. I love love love being married. My cooking is coming along slowly but surely...but as long as Cocina Superior is in business I'm in noooo hurry. :) We added another member to the family...a 6 week old kitten named Oreo. She fell in love with Fiona, and is the friendliest little kitten I've ever seen...she hates other cats and loves dog food...and humans. She hates to be alone. Just our luck...we got a cat who thinks it's a dog. But I'm deathly allergic to her...if things don't get better soon she may have to leave. :(

I think that's about it on the updates front...until next time...ciao!

(I've also included some pictures from our trip to Atlanta with the Magnolias and some pictures from Magic City Art Connection.)
