The Longer I Stay Away...

Giovanni, me, my mom and Caleb spent this past weekend in Louisiana. My grandma found out a few days ago that she has a very rare, very aggressive type of lung cancer, and we went to be with her. We had a great time, but as usual, it was so hard to leave. Since we moved to Alabama I've been homesick...but almost two years later, instead of getting better, it's just getting worse. Every time I leave, it's a little bit harder. I miss Louisiana horribly. Especially now, with my grandma being so sick, I hate not being there.
I have to agree with Louis Armstrong...yes, I know what it means...to miss New Orleans. :)
We're going back next weekend.
