Smothered Fries, Elvis, and The Serious Bowlers.

Sunday-well, I say Sunday-it's about 12 15ish on Monday morning, I got home not too long ago- Giovanni, Clay, Josh and I went to Sulligent to see Janie and her family...we went to People's Tabernacle that morning, and loved it-the preaching was awesome.
For lunch we had the famous Jimbo's. Yeahhhhh! We hung out with her family and had a blast-they're really sweet.
We went to Tupelo later...while we were driving I was thinking, "hey, I think Elvis was born in Tupelo!". As soon as we got into the city limits, I started seeing signs advertising his birthplace...so we went and we were the youngest people there by about 68 years. I was tearing around with all the old ladies, acting like a total nerd with my camera...then we went bowling. I don't understand bowling. It's fun the first time, and then it all gets very mundane. Gutter ball. Knock one down. Gutter ball. Ball jumps my lane and hits someone. Blah. I have more fun people-watching. There were some Serious Bowlers in the lane next to us.
I love when we bowl next to Serious Bowlers-the people who are not there for fun.
They have lots of Serious Bowling Gear-like finger towels and fancy ball bags, and grandpa matching bowling shirts, and gloves with weird tools attatched. They never smile. They never give high fives and do victory dances when they get a strike. Which I find oddly hilarious. Anyway, I got to watch a whole family of Serious Bowlers...good stuff. It kept me occupied for 2 hours, and I actually caught the youngest one crack a smile when he got a strike, for which he was promptly punished with a vicious smack from his father's finger towel. Ha! Not really. He did smile though.
The icing on the cake was getting to drive the 2 1/2 hour trip home...The 3 boys solemnly promised to stay awake and talk to me so I didn't fall asleep if I drove...yeah, right, why did I fall for that? I ended up with a car full of 3 silent-as-the-dead boys...well, silent if you don't count the snoring and gas. I had to drive with my window cracked to keep from dying, and it was freezing out. Lovely.

I'm about to crash...Good night, all. :)

Ellllvis!

Jimbo's.

Ok, I have left about a million comments today....so this is my last one. Gotta love the Bowlers. Have you ever seen White and Nerdy by "Weird Al" Yankovic? Funny stuff...and there are some serious bowlers in there!
