Whaaaat?

Yep, I'm pregnant, and to quote Juno, "I have heartburn radiating through my kneecaps". I've had the strangest symptoms in the past few weeks, but fortunately I see the humor in pregnancy. Like explosive, horribly embarrassing gas. The night after I found out, Giovanni took me to a nice restaurant to celebrate...in the middle of the meal, with absolutely no warning, I let out a massive, earth-shaking, bigger-than-a-man's belch. Ooops. :)
I never really knew what rage was until I got pregnant. Something as small as an old lady driving too slow reduces me to a screaming maniac. And something that wouldn't have fazed me 2 months ago brings me to tears. Like not being able to find a parking place.
All I can think about is this baby. I catch myself daydreaming about him/her constantly. I'm completely absentminded...I go to Wal-Mart and forget what I went for, I put cookies in the oven and forget about them, I walk to the car to go somewhere without my keys or phone. I'm hoping this gets better before I burn the house down.
Giovanni has been absolutely wonderful. He's always been an awesome husband, but he's really outdone himself in the past few weeks. I haven't touched a dish, done laundry, cleaned the bathroom, or cooked since I found out. He does everything! He cooks dinner, brings home flowers, and patiently waits out the mood swings. I'm so tired that literally every time I get off my feet, I'm knocked out, so him doing everything is soooo incredibly wonderful. He even bought me a prenatal yoga DVD so I don't have to give up my yoga!
We were so suprised to find out that I'm pregnant...I took 5 tests and went to 2 different doctors! We planned on waiting for 3 or 4 years, and when I found out, I cried and cried. I didn't know how on earth we were going to fit a baby into our lives.
Then I realized that babies aren't supposed to "fit". They're a blessing, and we're just going to make it work. :)
