Side note-prune juice is disgusting. It tastes like liquid Fig Newton cookies. And it doesn't help with constipation. Just thought I'd add that.
Anyway, we survived the pregnancy without killing each other, then came baby. And honestly, I can't give a very detailed account of how she's changed our relationship because we're only 4 weeks into this little adventure. I do know that a baby can make you feel like the loneliest person on the planet-you're so wrapped up in this little bundle that you can't function, and then you wake up one day after some of the excitement fades and you miss your other half like crazy. They can be sitting next to you, and you still miss them. You miss the closeness, the spontaneity.
Not that I would change a thing-parenthood is absolutely wonderful.
So does a baby change your relationship? Absolutely. Deep conversations get replaced with baby talk and cuddling on the couch turns into laying in bed, staring at the baby. Shopping trips turn into baby shopping trips...I went into Belk the other day and bypassed a massive shoe sale (feel free to fall out of your chair) in favor of the baby section.
A baby makes you have to work at being close. Before she came along, we didn't have any distractions-being inseperable was effortless.
But do I mind? Not really. I still love Giovanni just as much as I did the day I married him, but it's just a different kind of love. A happier, fuller kind of love.
'Cause I've got two loves now. :)

Having a baby is VERY hard on a marriage....even 17 years later, but it is SO worth it!
