Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it-NOOOOOOO!

Our holidays were...interesting...with a baby. Camilla has become very "mommy-fied" and likes very few people and hates crowds and loud gatherings. I've finally, finally gotten her on a respectable schedule and the holidays wreaked havoc in that department, so tonight we start back our old routine. She got lots of toys and clothes for Christmas, which upon receiving, she looked deep into each of the gift giver's eyes and uttered a profound and sincere thanks. Cause she's just smart like that. New Year's Eve taught me, if nothing else, that Camilla doesn't like surprises. The neighbors were doing those massive fireworks and I thought, oh, fun Mom opportunity! Let's go watch! So I bundled Camilla up and out we went. The neighbors lit a monster and the horror, shrieking and mass hysteria that occurred next was worthy of a Hitchcock movie. She clawed my face and neck and literally started climbing up my head in an attempt to get away from the fireworks. I stumbled back into the house with a wailing pink bundle wrapped around my face. She calmed down but glared at me for an hour. Sor-ry. Today it snowed and I opened the front door to show her. She stared at it for a second, then the bottom lip started coming out. I slammed the door before an official meltdown could occur. She looked at me for a minute and I think if she could talk she would say, "Holy cow, woman, every time you open this door there's something new and horrible. Give me my milk and leave me the heck alone!".

Some pictures of Camilla doing something she DOES like-playing in the tub.
