Butterflies.

Sorry for the back-to-back pregnancy blogs, but I have exciting news! I really do have a life outside of pregnancy...I hate it when people get pregnant and it consumes their whole world. I'm not one of those people, I promise! :)
We find out what the baby is around March 13. I have the option of finding out in 2 weeks, but there's a pretty big possibility that the baby won't be developed enough at that point to see it's little wee-wee. I had originally thought no big deal, we'll just go get a 3-D ultrasound if that happens, but I want a 3-D ultrasound later on in the pregnancy, when Peanut is chunky and cute, and I've read that ultrasounds can affect cell development, so I'm trying to have as few as possible. So...I think we're going to wait a little longer, and find out when I'm 20 weeks. It won't kill us. :)
I felt Peanut moving today...the doctor told me I probably wouldn't feel anything for a while, but she also said that the baby seems very active, and that could make it happen a little earlier. Every day I take about 20 minutes and sit very still, and concentrate really hard, or gently poke at my belly to see if I feel anything. Today, I had been sitting still for about 15 minutes, and felt the tiniest little tickle. I would have never noticed it if I wasn't concentrating so hard. I thought it was a hunger pain or something at first, then realized that I wasn't even hungry. I got excited and sat for about an hour, and felt it one more time about 30 minutes later. I haven't felt anything since then but it was exciting...I've seen the baby on the ultrasound and heard its heartbeat, but feeling it is completely different. It makes it so real. I know it won't be so cute when Peanut is 9 pounds and tap-dancing on my ribs, but it sure is cute now.
Ciao! :)

Thats so cool that you're feeling flutters! I've felt some too =D I was feeling a ton of flutters one night so I stuck my hand on my stomach and pushed in a little and I very, very clearly felt a little tap on my hand! It's amazing! Good luck at your ultrasound, I hope it shows the goods, haha =P We go for ours on Feb. 24th, everytime we've seen it, it's been pretty active so I hope it shows for us too!

That's sweet of you...I feel special now that you were sad for me. :) I'm hoping things get better, too!!
I've now lowered my goal of 5 children to two if I survive this one. :)

Girl!!!! I am soo excited for you!!!!!!! Talon was crazy when he was in my womb.......You could see his little feet and hands go across my belly. It kinda looked like an alien!!!!!!! LOL
But wait till the baby starts to hiccup......And hiccup........And hiccup......You'll get a kick out of that!

Oh those first movements you feel that are still so faint are so precious! Even though you sit around for an hour or two just waiting to see if you can feel another...it's worth it. Just wait til the precious baby is moving at all hours of day and night. It's a lot of fun!! I'm going to miss it completely. Good luck on the ultrasound!
