Don't Make Me Go All Crazy Pregnant Girl On You.

Hi, friends! I suppose you're wondering how things are in Magnolia Land.
I'm still waiting for the pukies to go away. I'm really at the end of my rope...today someone sort of snickered when they heard I'd been sick and I nearly went berserk. I considered unloading breakfast on the offending soul's shoes, but decided that was a little too evil. I have a hairtrigger temper lately...I think it has something to do with insomnia, constant nausea, constant heartburn, and a few other symptoms I'm too ladylike to mention.
It really starts to take a toll. The other night we were in Wal-Mart and I absolutely had to have a Mountain Dew. When I handed it to the cashier, she proceeded to tell me that I should be ashamed of myself, that it was bad for the baby, and then she starts telling me that caffeine gave her a terrible kidney infection while she was pregnant. I just smiled and handed her the drink, but I wanted to scream at her that I really didn't care if my kidneys jumped out and begged me not to do it, I was going to drink the Mountain Dew.
Throwing up acid all day long doesn't do much for your manners.
On to cheerier subjects...G got a new job! I stayed up late making his favorite-shepherd's pie-just so he could have it fresh for lunch tomorrow. Aren't I the best wife? :) He's working for Publix now...he's had a decent job with a swanky salon downtown. I say decent because I got lots of posh hair stuff at a discount, and the money wasn't bad, but there were no benefits. ZERO. Which isn't good for someone with a baby on the way. Publix offered him a job a few months ago, and he considered taking it, but then found out that the pay was rock bottom, and they wanted to start him off part-time, with no benefits. So he said no thanks and didn't think much of it. He kept looking for other jobs, and we prayed every day that something better would come along. Well...he gets a call from Publix two weeks ago, and they wanted to hire him again. This time they wanted to start him off full time, with full benefits, and far from rock bottom pay! And it just so happens that Peter works at the same store, and he's the one training G. He's been going to orientation, and seems to love it already.
And even better news! The lease is finally up at our overpriced popcorn box of an apartment, and my awesome parents offered us the cute little apartment in their basement! I'm dreading the move (it feels like we just moved. grr.), but I can't wait to start decorating. I think their gracious move may have been partly motivated by the fact that their grandchild will be within reach, at all times. :)
Giovanni is snoring next to me, and I think I'd better be off to dreamland, too, because, to quote the Jannaverse, I am so tired I could fall asleep even while being flogged with strands of fettucine alfredo.
Since we've been married, he's had Mondays off, and tomorrow will be the first Monday I've spent alone in over a year...:(
I'll miss him.
Night.

i was logged in on zacs old account last time, so i made my own. that woman is stupid about the mountain dew, you can have caffeine just in smaller amounts than before. congrats that your hubby got a nice job, this economy is pure-suck right now!

i had to go to the ER yesterday cuz i woke up at 4am and couldnt breathe or stop coughing and my nose was too congested for me to breathe out of. They said i had, had a cold and it turned into bronchitis and went down into my lungs. i feel ICKY!!! they gave me antibiotics and an inhaler >_> i dont think ill even use the inhaler, heh.

I did get to see the baby again though. they checked the baby at the ER because they thought if i was having trouble breathing that it could be affecting the baby, so that was the only nice part about being sick enough to go to the ER.

I know what you mean about the economy dude...he's very fortunate to have found something so awesome. I hate you were sick, but at least you got to see the baby :)
