I have officially (do you hear the hallelujah chorus?) entered the Holy Grail that is the second trimester...I feel very accomplished and Indiana Jones-ish. You may not see this as a big feat, but I do and it's my blog. Where's my trophy?
I went to the doctor today and everything is peachy. I told her how sick I've been, and she prescribed me some sort of "anti-nausea" medication, which DOES NOT CURE NAUSEA.
It MAKES IT WORSE.
I took it a few hours ago and it's finally starting to wear off, but it has not been pretty. I suppose it does work in a twisted sort of way...instead of a couple of little sicks, you feel fine and then have one big, awful, sick where you rid yourself of everything you've eaten for 3.6 years and quite possibly some vital organs (Was that my spleen?).
It is Satan's Medicine.
Nasty. Let's move on. The doctor told me that I'm Rh negative, which is scary, but she assured me that injections make it all better.
She also informed me that I need a Rubella booster. Yes, because after delivering an infant, my main concern is going to be getting a shot to avoid a case of the measles.
More needles? For me? You shouldn't have!
She used the Doppler to listen for Peanut's heartbeat, which was fast and strong. It was a relief to hear the heartbeat, especially considering the fact that I don't feel the baby move, so I don't know what's going on in there. The goop she put on my stomach must have irritated my skin because it itched for hours...I had to run errands after, and I must have looked a sight scratching like that.
CIAO! :)
P.S. You may have noticed a disturbing lack of pictures on the blog lately...my poor camera died recently, and I'm hoping to get a new one soon.

Who cares, "the presence"? Casey is in her second trimester and that is thrilling! I am so excited for you and G! I can't believe ya'll are going to be parents before us...no fair. Lol! Josh is still wanting to wait at least 2 or 3 more years and we've now been married for 4 (February 25, 2009). Grrrr! I am sooo jealous of your little "peanut". Lol! :) I hope all is going well with you. I've been trying to keep up with your blog to find out every detail. I can't tell you how excited I am for you guys!
By the way, the cell number I have for you is a disconnected one. I was trying to call you about a spa party I'm having at my house on the 20th. It's this coming Tuesday at 7pm. I would love it if you could come. Just let me know and I will give you my address so you can "mapquest" it. Call Becky for my number. I don't want to post it on here for some wierdo to stalk me. Lol!
SORRY bout that!
We're all friends, right? ;)
Tiffany, I'll get my number to you...anything with the word spa in it...count me in. And trust me, we did not expect to be parents before you guys! lol...we were supposed to wait for 3 or 4 years...oops. :)
Sorry "the presence"...I thought you were some random person...and I know if I were that excited and someone was (what seemed to be) negating what I said, I would be annoyed. I had no idea that you were Casey's cousin. You're right, it's not really any of my business. I just want Casey to be as excited as she possibly can be. It's a big thing to be pregnant with your first child! Surely you understand where I'm coming from? Sorry about that! :)
Sorry, Casey...I will be nice next time. Just looking out for you. Anyways...you can e-mail me at joshsgrl0225@yahoo.com. I can give you my address that way.
Okey dokey.

I took it again because I thought it was just a fluke thing, but it happened again. Soooo I'm done with the medicine.
Casey, girl
Take your medicine. It gets worse as you get older. It's a piece of cake now.
Love to you and G,
MawMaw
Yeah sorry I wasn't trying to be rude and I am very excited for Casey and I'm glad for her and her little growing baby =) I am also expecting my first child and I'm really glad I have someone in my family to share it with, I didn't mean to cause any animosity on here with such a happy occasion going on in both of our lives, I was just relaying information I was given and it come off different over the internet like I was saying she was wrong and quite the contrary if that is what her doctor says, then of course follow your doctor they know what they're doing I was not aware until now that doctors went by different times for the 2nd trimester thats all =) sorry again!
