You May Be Married To An Italian...

1) if when in Italy, riding in the car with him is like being inside the 80's video game, Pole Position
2) if he thinks that stopping at a stop sign in America is optional
3) if he tailgates on the road even though he isn't in a hurry
4) if most of his single friends in Italy still live with their parents-over age 35
5) if just the act of saying goodbye to his friends after a get-together takes longer than 30 minutes
6) if he doesn't like to plan, doesn't know how to plan, or doesn't know what that means (most likely, it's all three)
7) if you both would rather eat at home than go out to eat
8) if your friends tell you that you should open a restaurant because he is such a good cook
9) if he speaks at a volume 20 decibels higher than usual when on the cell phone (because he will NEVER use a landline)
10) if you have more than 6 types of cheese in your refrigerator
11) if you go to the grocery store more than twice a week
12)) if you eat a large meal midday
13) if you eat pasta nearly everyday as a first course
14) if you have eliminated these words from your vocabulary- noodles, soup, and cookies replacing them with pasta, minestra, and biscotti
15) if the idea of eating fast food or eggs/bacon/sausage for breakfast makes him gag
16) if your children must have Italian names since they are Italian (but you are American)
17) if he thinks giving your child a middle name is ridiculous. After all, there aren't too many Maria Rossi's out there.
18) if he complains about sleeping with the fan on because it hurts his neck, even if the air temperature is about 85 degrees in the room
19) if he drinks hot chocolate and eats biscotti for breakfast
20) if your children think tomatoes are their own food group
21) if when calling his name in public, you still wait for some stranger to yell back "polo"
